After all, you don’t say of a ballet dancer, ‘He jumped in the air, then he twirled around, et cetera …’ You are just carried away by his dancing.

Some sketchbook musings from a mid-morning coffee in Rathmines this morn. I feel a fondness for 2015 as I bid it farewell. It’s been tough at times, but so much good stuff has happened, and I thank everyone who has helped make this year fun, exciting and creative. Here’s a couple of pages from a 4-page comic I have in Ruaille Buaille, a new Irish language comic anthology for kids. My story is an observational piece based on an old woman I saw one morning at the bus stop.

Includes lots of top notch contributions from the likes of Fintan Taite, Philip Barrett, Alan Nolan and Alan Ryan.
